With the toughest climb of the tour done and dusted, we were really happy to look forward for the easiest day on the tour, Yercaud to Hogenakkal (All Flat and Rolling terrain as per Vaz!!!) After recovering from the ride and speaking for some time about the toughest day, we were packed to the near by estate for a delicious dinner hosted by Wild Orchid, fecilitated by Suresh and his friends. Suresh made it a point to introduce all of us present there to his friends. Kothu parota was the pick of the day and it was well organized except the fact that we were all already dozing off. We have got a nice pic as well at the end.
Well again its docket time and we started to check on the elevation etc and found that there is a small speed breaker (Christened by Siva!!!) along the way to Hogenakkal. So it is a known place, for fresh fish and awesome cooking of the same by Localites. By this time i had already mentioned to the friends about the same and yes off we went to doze off. Only thing in the entire tour, there is no second thought of sleeping! The moment we hit the bed, sleep mode is on, and the moment it is 6AM in the morning, Alarm mode is on, even though the start is at 8AM. Nice lake view stay for myself and Amol at Hotel TamilNadu in Yercaud. Pity that we never had a chance to enjoy the view that day!

Woke up to the cold morning in Yercaud. We started steadily and as usual Siva and Rakesh were flying down the descent yet we managed to click few pics during the descent. We decided to take it real easy on that day and it turned out to be same. As usual few detours and then reached Mecheri for the Pit stop. Hogged the cakes and other delicacies in the station.

Again started the ride again with Siva, Venkat, Sapeksh, Vaibhav and Bhaskar. There were two awesome climbs in Permubalai and leading to Pennagaram. First climb i really attacked and happy to get on with it. Very nice snake curves and good climbs all the way and an awesome descent. Second climb i took it easy (Rather body made the climb to be easy!!!), just went ahead in my pace and reached the stop where the guys were taking at an Aiyyanar temple. Quite a photo shoot there. My love for the blue was revealed that day, i am in all out blue coinciding with my Giant's color. Just we were searching for Lunch spot as usual, we went on to a local shop which promptly served Egg dosa, Omlette, Parotta. Vaibhav and Rakesh skipped it.
Rest of us are eating there for pretty long time.
In the mean time, Siva's love and lust for Coconut water increased multifolds, but still we have not got him one during the entire tour until that point of time. Slowly after finishing the lunch, we were starting and saw Rakesh and Vaibhav waiting there. What happened next is typical Siva quotes.
Siva:
What folks what are you upto?
Ra & Vai:
Siva, we had coconut water and waiting for you folks.
Siva: Jumping out of the saddle, "
Come on guys, this is not fair. Come lets go and have coconut water".
Vai: "
Oh come on Siva, Are you for Real, we were not having lunch and waiting for you" with his trademark reaction, we all burst into laughter including Siva and convinced him to ride directly to Hogenakkal which was 17km from that point!
From then on, we started to ride decent pace and into the descent of Hogenakkal hills we disappeared and reached Hotel Tamilnadu and serene falls was waiting for us on that day. Dumped the bikes in the room, had a nice shower and started a recovery walk to have first round of fish and falls sighting! Next day we decided to take as a rest day, but Venkat and Siva convinced us to go on a pretty casual attired ride! But yeah it was not a gadget naked ride, all of us had garmins on us.
